_NYGIANTS_Posted 7/20/2012 8:00:28 AM | Just got it today and it does says windows 7 compatable on the back of box. --- Watch my retro NES, Xbox, and Ps3 videos Youtube Profile http://www.youtube.com/user/EpicConspiracy?feature=mhum |
MadJak91Posted 7/20/2012 8:12:43 AM | The question is, have you played it yet? Back of the box usually says a lot of things but the reality is different. Like someone said in another topic, developers say it is compatible just because you can play the company logos and WIN 7 was not released back then.
If you played it without problems then that is another thing... --- Gaming paradox - The lower the score the better the game |
_NYGIANTS_(Topic Creator)Posted 7/20/2012 8:37:42 AM | Haven't played yet. Will tonight when I get off work and will let you know. I have faith in bioware. --- Watch my retro NES, Xbox, and Ps3 videos Youtube Profile http://www.youtube.com/user/EpicConspiracy?feature=mhum |
MadJak91Posted 7/20/2012 10:06:57 AM | Thanks. I hope both Bioware and Obsidian did their part... --- Gaming paradox - The lower the score the better the game |
ShadowDarkstarPosted 7/20/2012 11:16:51 AM | I just picked up mine. Looking forward to installing it later, right now going to see Dark K. Rises.
My gamestop only had 1 copy, and they said they weren't sure if they would be stocking it.
May the Force be with you all. |
InsaneMechPosted 7/20/2012 1:43:58 PM | I just picked my copy up. What are some of the issues that were making it not work with Windows 7?
I am installing right now so I should be able to tell you if I know what the problems were. |
MadJak91Posted 7/20/2012 2:26:05 PM | Do the games crash in any way? Usually during character creation or at map transition, loading etc. Are there additional resolutions? Widescreen support? If yes, then is the dialog box missing on higher resolutions? Anything extra or extras?
This is all general info that comes to mind right now... --- Gaming paradox - The lower the score the better the game |
InsaneMechPosted 7/20/2012 2:33:15 PM | Well I haven't ran into any crashes while making my character.
1280 x 1024 is the max I can get.
As for extra's I don't see anything new. Once I start playing more I will be able to tell you about the dialogue box. |
MadJak91Posted 7/21/2012 3:33:48 PM | Finally, there is a costumer review on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Knights-Republic-Bundle-Pack/dp/B00784HHUM
Seems that the game is indeed optimized for WIN 7 and even 64bit. A few new resolutions: 1280x960, 1280x1024, 1600x1200
Well, I think we got what we wanted... kinda. I think they could have put a little more effort into it. --- Gaming paradox - The lower the score the better the game |
_NYGIANTS_(Topic Creator)Posted 7/22/2012 7:10:12 AM | I've beaten KOtOR and didn't have one crash ran great. Now on to KOTOR 2 n. btw. I gave windows 7 64 bit --- Watch my retro NES, Xbox, and Ps3 videos Youtube Profile http://www.youtube.com/user/EpicConspiracy?feature=mhum |
