accel 2 was never translated into English? i never understood why Europe ended up getting it while we were left hanging. was it due to ps2 lifespan or the sales of un4 weren't up to par?

Probably because the PS2 is dead in the US at this point and Namco Bandai didn't want to put any money into localizing a game that wouldn't make anything resembling a profit here due to it being on a dead console.

yeah that makes alot of sense. was just remembering a few years ago i was anxiously waiting for the English version, Europe got it but we didn't. guess only hope we get an un hd collection or something. namco could at-least sub it (like they did with the European version).

Close!

But the real truth was because Shippuden wasn't properly exposed or aired to the U.S, which was why UN4 flopped hard in terms of sales.

Naruto was exposed thanks to Toonami/Cartoon Network, it was a channel that mostly likely a massive majority of people have by now. But Shippuden wasn't aired yet, and when it did, it was on a channel that only a decent thousand had. But since it wasn't on a common channel, it wasn't exposed much. Plus the horrible editing killed the show painfully.

So that's really why.
