Why shouldn't it be? In case you don't read thoroughly enough, Naruto can't go full power for very long. You do realize that they would have to make another Naruto just to make an awakening of him in his full bijuu mode. He's good the way he is!

KCM should be a character with Kurama Mode awakening.
If Sasuke has his new Susanoo why doesn't Naruto have Kurama Mode?
Even worse his KCM still has none of his new Rasengan variations in his combos.

And Naruto doesn't have BM because he got an updated KCM mode.

That is why I keep saying that there is a 4th character slot for Naruto and Sasuke.

Only Sasuke's ultimate and awakening require EMS. Everything else is MS techniques. So yes it is possible to as you put it replace 5KS Naruto and 5KS Sasuke with the new Naruto and EMS Sasuke. All CC2 needs to do is disable Naruto's ultimate and Sasuke's ultimate and awakening while in story mode until you reach the point where they have gained the powers they need for them. They have done it before. Remember Naruto vs. Awakened Tobi in Generations? Or CC2 will leave their Generations' ultimates in as alternatives for them, and make you use them until you gain their new ultimates, and in Sasuke's case awakening, in story mode. That makes sense and has been done before too. Both the 5KS ultimates and the new ultimates for Naruto and Sasuke function differently enough that leaving them in will offer some variety.

nobody is getting replaced. both 5KS naruto and sasuke will be in either the same slot, switching with R1 or a separate character slot on the select screen.

The R1 option is for character with more than 1 Ultimate not more than 1 moveset.

I agree that they maybe in the same slot switching ultimates with R1. I would like that. I do not agree that they will be a separate slot. There is too much evidence against that in my opinion.

NTR/FRS Naruto and 5KS Naruto version are similar in moves yet they are separate characters. EMS Sasuke has that skeleton ribs with amaterasu flames. The grab alone is reason why 5KS and EMS are separate slots(5KS grab is from the Sasuke vs Danzo fight and EMS grab is from his fight with those White Zetsu clones). Actually, they aren't. The three opening hits of their combos are the same, and then they are all different. The tilts are similar and so are the grabs I will give you that. However, look at their items, awakenings, and ultimates. All different. No two Narutos or Sasukes have had the same items or awakenings before and still had different slots. It would be ridiculous to have two versions of an awakening like you are saying they will. No, Sasuke had Amaterasu ribs during the 5Ks fight. Yes he did that move after he got EMS, but he didn't need EMS to do that move.

I am saying 5KS Naruto will have the moves shown in the demo with the only difference being the ultimate. The same with Sasuke. To make two versions so Naruto can do two fights and Sasuke can do two fights, or four depending on how you look at it, is flat out illogical.

I agree with Pyre. I think this will be the time when CC2 doesn't give an extra slot for Naruto and Sasuke.

Naruto + Sasuke got like 3 slots a piece at least. That's 6 of the 80 characters. Heck i see 6 Uchiha ffans in a row... there might be 6 Sasuke!!
