There has been many many Countdown topics in the last few years. Since these topic were created there has always been a few things people want to accomplish.

1. Get the topic to 500, which is the TC's job to motivate and create interest
2. Nab post 500
3. Create the next Countdown

I was around this time for the 500th post so I created the next Countdown in the sequence for a couple of reasons.

1. I've created numerous topics in the past, some successful, some deleted by mods.
2. I wanted to give creating another one a shot and bring it to 500.

So, from my perspective I feel slighted.

I thought the purpose of the topic was to countdown the amount of time til the games release, while conversing with other users who are interested. But if the purpose is mainly to have a topic reach 500 with your username on it, and get a 500th post to do so again, then yea, I guess it does make a difference.

That seems to be the main part, otherwise why not join in on the more relevant topic... I have no idea how big of a deal it is to you and the others, but I say just join the other one. A topic isn't dignified by who created it or how many post it has.

No back and forths about hugs and cookies. A distinct lack of sexual role play. Etc.
