I'm not sure how it's going to work in ARR. In other games, when you queue up, you wait on a waiting list for w/e class you queued as (tank, dd, support, healer). When your turn is up and a spot is open for your role, you get asked to get teleported and a party is formed. The host server may be random or they may just have a separate server dedicated for cross server interaction.

And yeah, you're right about the Gold Saucer, lol.

Hi, I posted this in the PS3 FAQ, but I was wondering: can you do any quest in a party, or is it just limited to levequests (so can your party undertake a main quest at the same time)?

wow,.. after being in the original Beta and hating everything (played FFXI for 7 years and HATED XIV beta was so disappointed)

I see this remake and it looks AMAZING everything you mentioned sounds great thanks for the topic.
If youre committed enough, you can make any story work. I once told a woman I was Kevin Costner, and it worked because I believed it.Saul

Of course! In parties you can run leve quests, dungeons, FATEs, primals, side quests, class quests, job quests, and behests.

Pricing has been updated with long term discounts.

http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/product/

The 180 day gives you the same number of characters as the 14.99 for a fee of 12.99.

There's also a 13.99 one with the full amount of characters for 90 days.

"Casinos don't have roller coasters (with lasers), gondolas, haunted houses, and other things the original Gold Saucer had."

In Vegas they have some of those things.

Okay so I have a real silly question..

I played the PC version but stop playing it way before they shut it down.

That being said I plan to play this on the PS3 , will my character info still be there?

Or will I need to start all over from scratch..I asking because I did get pretty far in the game

Yeah, your character info will be in ARR. All you lose is a bit of gil.

So, either 12.99/month for 8 characters, or 14.99/month for 40 characters.

Yeah, the people running this reboot are leagues and bounds above that of the original half-baked dev team.

I don't think "8 characters" is a particularly honest statement. It's true in a technical sense, but "1 character per server" is far more meaningful and doesn't obfuscate the truth.
