Pretty stupid. I thought they said they would be having vanity items? You have to be level 30 (typically unless someone gives you the ash) to do the event, and it gives you a level 1 bathing suits. In order to wear them I have to sacrifice a lot of stats and armor.

Why could they not simply make it vanity.

that wet ash can be bought from the market place cant it? I mean i wasnt in that zone all that long and i had more than 2 stacks of it from the FATE that drops it, shouldnt be that bad. dumb event IMO, oh hey lets have the first event in 2.0 give out swim wear in one of the few MMO's you cant actually swim in

Well it's something, I guess, but my character can't swim. Invisible walls deny her at every turn.

Your server may vary, but the marketplace on mine was flooded with cheap as chips Wet Bombard Ash, probably due to all the FATE grinders near Costa Del Sol. Very short "event" in that case!

Still, I'm totally rocking those swimsuits.

Nope.

What are the names of the fates you look for? how do you get the ash when it's jammed with dozens and dozens all jammed in trying to fight?

I had a whole bunch left over because you get 30 ashes per pop and you only need like 80 to get all the suits. Sold the left over(200+) for 50 gil ea.

The only one I know is Return of the King in Costa del Sol. It's a level 30 FATE. There is supposed to be lower leveled ones near each major cities.

I find it very odd how you cannot "discard" any of the swimwear items.

I purchased the wrong one by mistake, and tried to throw it away. It wouldn't let me, and it's non-convertible. I have no choice but to hold onto it or store it in my Armoire, since it won't let me throw it away.

I can understand not being able to sell it for Gil, or converting it into Materia when Spiritbound, but not letting me discard it? That's just odd. O_o
