Any good crafting rotations for 40 durability synths?

#1XXI_WorldPosted 10/13/2013 12:15:33 AM
I'm trying to figure out a rotation that gives me reliable HQs. I have a level 50 weaver, 37 culinarian and 15 on almost all other classes (but just assume I have 15 on all others).

Does anyone know of a good rotation?

You want to know a rotation to make a macro or simply for your own knowledge?

I often go, inner quiet, (trick of the trade if red), steady hand, (standard touch if red), manipulation (or waste not), then standard touch until i'm 100% quality or out of CP or only have 2 turns left, then Rumination, then depending on how many CP and status of material, will hit one of the touch skills. Obviously you hope to be one shotting the progress when you only have one turn left and have spent as many CP as you can.

It all depends really on how many CP you have to burn. The goal to me is to always be turning the quality crank when it's red (and flashing especially) unless your out of CP forcing you to do a progress move or Rumination, then you use tricks of the trade. If you have no CP, no way to get CP, and have multiple cranks left, use Hasty Touch.

Mashed Popotoes are a great, cheap food to give you that extra bit of quality. Can be the difference between making mostly HQ or not.

I recently hit 50 weaver but have yet to gear him out, have all trades above 15 and am working on Carpenter...

Anyone wanting to craft should take all crafts to 15 except maybe Blacksmith and Armorer because their skills are weak, although Blacksmith can make a lot of your tools and Armorer can make Iron Ingots easily which you use a lot, thus both saving money.

For knowledge because I'm not reliably HQing 40 dura synths.

Inner Quiet
Great Strides
Steady Hand
Standard Touch
Great Strides
Advanced Touch
Great Strides
Advanced Touch

If you don't have Advanced Touch use Standard Touch, also when you get Excellent forget about anything and just go for Advanced Touch, using this is easily HQ any 40 Durability items even if im under geared

Too many steps or skills for me its usually quality till 10% or standard skill till progress is 1 move away from 100% then that 1 skill that gives back 30 durability then either quality till I run out of cp and then finish the item. Tricks of the trade is dumb to me to only work on red when that's a quality up skill, it should work on white or purple...

Obviously, get more Control (if possible) to boost your Quality rating.

Now, I've found (having one class at 50, the rest at 40) that the following works best, for me, assuming only one Synthesis to complete :
Inner Quiet
Tricks of the Trade if Good
Steady Hand 2
Waste Not
Hasty Touch
Hasty Touch
Hasty Touch
Hasty Touch
Tricks of the Trade if Good
Hasty Touch*
Tricks of the Trade if Good
Manipulation
Tricks of the Trade if Good
Steady Hand 2
Waste Not
Hasty Touch
Hasty Touch
Hasty Touch
Hasty Touch
Basic/Standard/Advanced Touch, whatever I have CP for, depending upon number of Tricks of the Trade
Careful Synthesis

That invariably gives me the most quality on a 40 durability craft. Note the starred Hasty Touch; if the recipe takes two Synthesis to complete then I'll use Careful Synthesis there instead of the Hasty Touch.

Inner Quiet
Great Strides
Steady Hand 2
Advanced Touch
Great Strides
Advanced Touch
Great Strides
Advanced Touch
Synthesis

This routine does not get me as much Quality as the first routine, for some reason. Mathemagically, you'd think it would - as it is 900% Efficiency (2*1.5+2*1.5+2*1.5) with no risk of failure compared to the first's 900% efficiency with a ton of risk, but Inner Quiet makes a big difference.
