Monk help! What Darklight accessories to get? Maiming or Striking?

#1gildedgirthPosted 12/2/2013 7:40:52 PM
I got my Darklight armor but confused what DL accessories to get, Maiming or Striking.

One set has more accuracy, the other more crit.

I'm guessing because of Coil, you'd need more accuracy?

Or can Monks reach the accuracy needed for coil (I think around 432-ish accuracy?) with either accessory set?

No idea about BiS (best in slot) gear for Monks, so not sure if I'll be gimped in accuracy until I get my i90 stuff, if I chose the wrong DL accessory set.

Any help is appreciated!

Given the name of the body gear, striking I think. Maiming is meant for drg but everyone went for striking instead

Striking. The main Darklight gear has plenty of accuracy.

If you've got yourself a Peltast ring from AK, you might as well not even bother with the Darklight ring of Maiming for Monk. The stats are so minuscule that it won't even matter.

I do have the Peltast ring. Thanks, it'll save me some tomes.

No one in this entire topic gave good advice.

You need to balance skills based on where you are accuracy wise.

If you're just starting Coil try to stay around 465 accuracy (Over cap with food) and Crit, Det, and lastly skill speed are the stats you'll be looking for armor wise.

These principles should be used for any gear set, look at the desired accuracy for whatever you're fighting and balance your gear around that. Currently you'll always be using a mix of striking and maiming accesories as your BiS.
