Someone told me free to play was confirmed in the Japanese Live letter today

Guys this isn't a rumor or etc there been talk from the E3 2014 that the game will be going free to play.The question is why and when it will go someone said that Yoshi went against his statement saying he never let it go free to play but seems he change his mind for some reason.I am guessing because not enough people are playing the game.
