Favorite Metal Gear Subtitle(not favorite game)

The Phantom Pain. I really like the meaning behind it and how it's relating to MGSV. It just sets an entirely fresh and darker tone from the rest of the series.

Snake Eater is my second pick because once you play the game you see how it can have different meanings. Also, it just sounds odd like classic 007 and totally fits the game.

My second pick would be Sons of Liberty, because it gets name called by Solidus and Armstrong.

Sons of Liberty

I always think of Solidus proclaiming this title whenever I see it. Back when MGS2 was released, it looked/sounded f***ing awesome, also.

The Phantom Pain, because it's less literal than the other titles, thereby more meaningful. In my opinion, anyway.

You forgot MG2: Solid Snake, btw. It's not my favorite, but it still counts.

This comes down to:

"Behold! Guns of the Patriots!"

vs

"I will liberate us all... And we will become... The Sons of Liberty!"

Too much power, but I am obliged to go for the second.

This for me, but I vote for the former.

Guns of the Patriots. No one does subtitles better than Kojima.

I agree. It was a tough choice for me between 2 and 4's subtitles. Gotta love the Boston Tea Party implications of 2 that really highlights the subtitle.

SPOILER ALERT:

Metal Gear Ray = British Tea

Really?

The real life Sons of Liberty are the ones who dumped the tea in the pre revolution days. I know the Sons of Liberty had a different in game meaning, but Otacon and Snake's actions could be an allegory for the actual historic events.
