Lol Dude read what I said, he physically died but came back to life through ocelot, NOT BY SPIRITUAL POSSESSION, BUT BY MEMES.

Ocelot took everything he knew about liquids personality and used it to create A PERSONA. Ocelot metaphorically brought liquid back to life after he physically died.

1. Liquid has a desire dependent on his personality.
2. liquid dies
3. Ocelot wants to keep liquids desire alive so he uses liquids memes and personal knowledge of him to "recreate liquid" in personality form.
4. Ocelot loses his personal identity and "becomes" liquid, NOT BY BODY, BUT BY PERSONALITY.
5. Liquids is "reborn" by spirit( not boooo spirit but like who someone is, their metaphorical soul) through ocelots body.

Do you understand now? I think I described it in enough ways that you could hopefully understand.

Gesh... Haha

Ocelot did it to fool the Patriots, not because he believed Liquid's ideals.

Ocelot's and the Liquid persona's (aka Liquid Doppelganger) 'desire' was one and the same. The split personality Ocelot created was a means to manipulate the behaviour of the Proxy AIs (so that they would repeat their actions from Shadow Moses and send Solid Snake) but the two personalities shared the exact same goal which was to destroy The Patriots so Outer Heaven could rise in its place. When Liquid Ocelot gives his "America will descend into chaos" speech, he's pretty much already had the Ocelot personality beaten back into him, and does his hand gesture a few moments later.

Anyone else find it odd that there are a few new posters always having to say something against regulars on this board?

Another degraded topic. I won't comment on the usual cluster****, just add an opinion and leave.

I'd be great if all sons appeared, but I am sure Solidus won't be in TPP. If I had to pin down a single of many reasons why he won't appear, is because he is a filler character for Kojima. Look at Liquid. MGS, MGS2 appearence and the entirety of MGS4. Solidus? You know the drill.

I highly doubt it.

Find me a single character in the franchise who's come back from the dead who's name isn't Gray Fox, you'll be surprised when you find that very few people have legitimately died and came back later.

1, Nanomachine coma, not actually dead.
2, Never see his body, everyone just assumed he was dead.
3, A ghost possessing someone is still a ghost, ghosts aren't living beings.

Jeez, it's like you didn't even try to make an effort.

Now that I think about it, Liquid was supposed to appear in the original MGS2, where Snake was to fight him in the Middle East. But we're talking about retconning people back to life. Big Boss certainly wasn't in a nanomachine-induced coma at the end of Metal Gear 2 or during MGS1. I can't really be sure about Sokolov, but judging from the fact that he isn't heard from after his death in MGS3, he was probably supposed to have died, too.

Big Boss being alive isn't a retcon, its a plottwist. Its not a retcon unless the writers go back and essentially rewrite what happened in the story.

Big Boss being 20 years younger then Liquid said he was? That's a retcon. They went back into the story and decided he was younger than he was previously just to serve the story. They changed something in the story to make that the case.
Big Boss surviving unexpectedly when everyone thought he died? That's a plottwist. They didn't go back and write that he didn't "die" or change the past story at all, they just built upon it and added more.

Something going on with BB's body was heavily hinted at when Snake pressed Campbell about why they didn't just give in to the terrorists' pretty harmless demands.
