Speaking of good RPG developers, take a look at the Obsidian website.

I don't think so. I have to disagree, TC.

It's okay to disagree but Square-Enix is dead. Well....it's on life support. If Versus doesn't come out then it's completely dead. At this point, they want to just do small budget handhelds, pay to play MMO's, yearly FF title rehashes, and GREE social games for android and iOS. And Core Online streaming service. In fact, Wada doesn't even want to sell physical copies of games anymore and doesn't want consoles anymore as he think digital distribution through streaming networks is the future.

Welp, its official now. TGS reports call Bravely Default "Japan Only", so I guess that means we won't ever get a localization until so intrepid fan group makes one for us to pirate. That means we Americans can't even get the ONE good game they're making anymore.

With that, its over. I can't see how it could continue. What's the point? Its a dead shell of former greatness.

After FFXIII, Dragon Quest X, Type-0 never getting released over here, FFXIII-2... FFXIII-3. It took a lot to kill Square Enix but it happened.

RIP.

(If you need RPGs in the future, go to Level-5, Sega, Monolith Soft, Atlus, Nippon Ichi, Nintendo, and Mystwalker. Don't look here, you won't find any.)

I thought TGS wasn't until later this month? Can you give a link?

Add Atlus to the list.

Shall we do something to mourn our loss?

Err...what? They've got a lot of stuff on 3DS, like Soul Hackers and Shin Megami Tensei 4.

Clearly, he doesn't understand what we truly demand. Since you mentioned Versus, if you haven't already...please support Project Crystallis. All you have to do is sign, like and subscribe. It would certainly help the movement.

And like I said already, it's only confirmed for Japan now, doesn't mean it won't release outside of Japan.
If it's not FF, it's usually announced for a localization after it releases in Japan, which is next month.
Tokyo Game Show certainly is not a place for localization announcements.
