Just curious what fans think about this box set and if anybody is planning on getting it. I love the idea of huge box sets, but I'm sad to say that I'm not really excited about this. I mean if you're a fan of Final Fantasy, then you most likely already own most, if not all, of the games. So why then would you want to purchase all of those games again? Aside from the games, the extra goodies are ok, but nothing incredibly appealing. Some artwork, music cd's, limited accessory download for FFXIV, and huge box.
And now comes the real gut punch. $445!! Pretty steep in my opinion. All in all, I would expect a lot more from a 25th anniversary box set for this franchise.

useless for me since I just finished buying all the mainstream (I just bought FF Anthology with FFV and VI) o.o and anyways, unless you got a PS2 from Japan...I don't think you can play X and XII. Sure you can play FF I to FFIX, but you won't understand the language and will have to go by memory or with a walkthrought.... And if it's not limited, I don't think It will become rare. Just my opinion. Not really a Ultimate box if you ask me.
The better version of games(like FFX and FFXII International) aren't there but FFVII International is.
Along with the lack of spinoff titles. Far from ultimate if you ask me.
