No, I am saying XIII>XIII-2.
Also, XIII didn't have time travel.

Both had terrible stories, characters and music. It doesn't make a difference.
XIII-2 improved on things, while other things were just as bad.

Doesn't matter if you think both are bad, but XIII is better.

How can XIII be better even though XIII-2 improved on it?

No it didn't.

Time travel isn't improvement.
A shorter story isn't improvement.
Crazy Chocobo isn't improvement.
QTE aren't improvements.
etc.

Travel travel is the story. The story was already crap in XIII so it doesn't matter.
It is an improvement over running down a hallway for 50 hours.
One song you don't even have to listen to.
Meh, it's not like they're important.

I liked XIII's story.
It is not an improvement, nor was it a hallway.
Yes I do if I want to get from one side of A Dying World to another.
They are pretty important, you need to ace them to get achievements so I had lower myself to do them, and I hate them.

I was ok with VIII at some points while I didn't care about anything in XIII-2. I'll vote VIII because it had its moments I guess.

Both are pretty weak games. But VIII winsw out because it's just a longer game that feels more polished and thought through.
VIII's story starts off being interesting and the first two discs are really good. XIII-2's in comparison was **** from the get go.

Squall out-develops Serah and Noel in about half an hour and the world is something actually compelling instead of a string of levels that might take places on different planets.
I guess Caius technically wins over Ultimecia because he actually has a personality. Not a good personality but a personality nonetheless.

Music is more memorable in VIII and there is more optional content.

VIII is a god-send compared to XIII-2.

That doesn't make it any less bad.
Yes it was, XIII was a giant hallway.
Mute the tv. XIII had its share of unbearable music.
Then do them, they're not hard. If you care about achievements, you shouldn't complain about having to do stupid stuff.
