That was amazing. I'm willing to give this game a chance, but most MMO games bore the hell out of me.

Pretty CGI does not make a crappy game better.

You are right, but rebuilding a game from scratch and doing heavy work and using in depth know-how, hearing fans and critics alike, and addressing every single flaw, does.

No, it doesn't.
It could.

But id did, and we are only to witness how much it improved. Take your negativity elsewhere :/

Have you played it?

Besides, improving FFXIV doesn't say much.

Yes, it does mean something. It means that you'll actually be playing a game this time.

FFXIV was broken and unplayable.
Fixing that does not mean it'll be a good game.
It just means it won't be broken.

ARR is a remake; in fact it's even more than that as the core gaming mechanics are all new. It doesn't make sense to dismiss this game due to what Tanaka did. That would be like dismissing Versus XIII because XIII sucked.

Now that doesn't mean it WILL be good. But people are right to be excited about this game in the same way as anyone is excited about any new game.

That's rich coming from a person who doesn't plan to play the game.
