All the monsters are just stolen from the first game and given dumber names and different stats.. Every monster was pretty much given an annoying status effect or ability (like poison, instant death, or reducing your hp to 1) which didn't add any challenge to the game just annoyance..

THe job classes are completly unbalanced as the Dark Knight and (end game) mascot are far superior to everything else except the gunner for dps (with catnip)

I mean seriously who the hell thought it was a good idea to give the dark knight high hp, strength, defense, magic defense, and great passive status resistances while all the others are pretty much weaker in all of these areas?

FInal fantasy v did job classes a million times better as you wanted to actaully change jobs often to get all the useful abilities each job had to offer.. x-2 there is never any reason to change around your job classes..

and don't get me started on the atrocious wait times for using your abilities. They made a class that might of looked good on paper (the warrior) absolutley suck because it took far to long to use any of their abilties that might of actaully been useful.

fail battle system is fail.

It is.
People call IX's battle system slow, but X-2 isn't much better.

We all agree with you, it's unbearable.

I like FFV & FFT job system more than X-2...

but I think people praise on the X-2 battle system, not its job system.
X > V > T > VI > XII > XIII-2 > X-2 > XIII > TLR > VIII > VII > IV > IX > III > I > II

I liked the fact that you could switch jobs mid-battle.

So you can watch some lame magical girl cutscene over and over again?

Even so X-2 still has the best best battle system in the series bar none.

XIII, XIII-2, Tactics and Type-0 disagree.

Funnily enough, it's one of the only battle systems I actually enjoyed in the series. One of the reaons FFXIII was so enjoyable; it was fast-paced unlike the mess XII was, X's was alright, FF8's was good, and VII's could be flushed down a toilet for all I care. Only the characters and music allowed me to finish it.
