'Liftoff' has MASSIVE Star Ocean connotations, and that was the name of the site. Couple this with the imagery, and you should be able to see how people thought it could be SO.
Of course we were expecting a stupid browser game, but we were hoping SE were not being spoons for once. But no, their advertising arm fails once again. --- Dresdenfall is amazing, if you know what I mean :) /wink wink Mada status: arguing with a fat moogle.
I'm not wrong. At all. Not everyone pays attention to tweets and domain registrations. Most people just looked at the site.
Which could have been anything. Are paying attention what I'm saying saying here? Since when was a rule that any sci-fi related from SE that wasn't FF had to be SO?
"A CGI shot of planets in space? Well, considering that the only game like this from SE is Star Ocean, it's probably a Star Ocean game!"
"Oh look, it even has "Star" on the side!"
"Oh look, there's a countdown clock. This must be an announcement for something big, like a new console Star Ocean game!"
There is your problem. SE sci-fi game=/= SO. You might have well say The Last Remnant is an FF game because it used CG and was medeavil. Learn not to take your own speculation as fact then you won't be disappointed.
It's not unreasonable nor stupid for someone to think that this would be Star Ocean 5. Stop being a blind sheep, it's sickening.
That not what I'm saying. My point is that the announcement could have very well have been SO game, but easily could anything else. SE can make their own sci-fi games themselves or with anyone who their please. And stop insulting people who oppose reasonably. Fact of the matter is you were wrong and took what you wanted as fact without waiting to see it was correct when there was more evidence to suggest it was not. Whether you knew it or not is irrelevant.
Big deal, learn and let live, am I saying anything unreasonable here? --- Currently Playing: Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time, Legend of Mana
