Mwynn never cursed the world. It was the natural cycle, and kept the balance between the worlds. This is what she protected, and then she passed that on to Etro.

Was gonna post the same thing just now, but just saw your post. Nice job.

I'm not sure how much I believe myself about this one, but I just wanted to throw it out there as a possibility.

Caius fooled everyone. The events that happen in Valhalla happen constantly in all different orders, Lightning looked at the timeline when she first arrived in Valhalla, however she saw the future where she had already sent Noel to find Serah, however she had not told them that needed to confront Caius in 500af, so he succeeded in crashing the two Cocoon's causing the world to be consumed by chaos. However, only one timeline can exist at once according to the Ultimania, so Caius plans to change the timeline himself, and keeps Lightning busy by fighting her endlessly so that she cannot re-check the timeline. Then he provokes Serah and Noel into trying to change Noel's future, which I'm going to assume is a paradox future seeing as the crashing of Cocoon does not make the world go all chaosy in this timeline. Lightning finds Serah and Noel and tells them of how Caius will crash the two Cocoon's, causing the world to become enveloped by chaos. This leads to a confrontation between Noel and Caius, which is what he wanted in the first place. This confrontation notably happens in Valhalla, which lies outside the timeline. This means that Lightning cannot forsee the events that happen here, she can only see what happens where there is time. Caius gets Noel to stab him, his plan all along, which causes chaos to gush out of Etro's gate

While I like this theory in general, because it clears up alot of confusion about why Lightning does what she does, and it kind of throws aside the Cocoon crashing and not opening the gate plothole in Noel's future, its kind of iffy that Lightning only checked the timeline once, this assumes that they are not constantly seeing everything, which is a possibility, also its SUPER iffy to think that the one time Lightning saw the timeline, she had already sent Noel to change the timeline, but she hadn't yet to ld them what she tells them in New Bodhum 700 af and that after she does that she doesnt check again. Despite that this is the best I could come up with.

I'm still pretty sure that the world wasn't enveloped in chaos because Caius didn't bother killing Etro, but that's simple reasoning.

I don't know, this might be a plot hole. I can't think of any feasible reason why chaos wasn't unleashed in Noel's original timeline. According to the ultimania passage i just read, Etro holding it back is completely meaningless.

If all this happened the chaos spreading and destroying time negating 700AF, shouldn't Noel not exist anymore?

What do you guys think of Light being Bhuni's "Liberator" and the whole thing going on in Luxerion?

Personally I think that the 'Order' in Luxerion is similar to Cocoon's Sanctum and is keeping the people oblivious to what is going to happen at the end of the XIII days (supposedly Bhunivelze's awakening).

I've said that I believe the Rebels, while not actually having been contacted by Etro, do what they do in her name. So they oppose Light and the Bhuni believers (which is like Etro opposing Bhuni).

However, I think Light will realise that Bhuni is the bad guy and defy her role as the Liberator while also not joining the rebels as they are murdering people. So instead of taking a black and white approach, it will be more of a grey one.

I've always thought of Bhuni as a tyrant and as a malevolent "god." He didnt create humans, Etro did, why would he care for the welfare of the creatures her daughter created. The daughter that looks exactly like his mother whom he killed. Lightning is Bhuni's liberator in a sense that she will end his unending thirst to rule and his undending vengeance againt his mother who cursed his domain.

My theory is that Yeul = Lindzei. Lindzei's task was to wake Bhuni and in doing so dooming mankind. Etro cursed/sealed Lindzei through Yuel so that Lindei would never be able to accomplish his/her task but he/she was able to act through Caius. Now that she is free from the prison (unending cycle of death and rebirth) Etro created because Etro died, he/she is able to wake Bhuni.

That can't be right. If it was then it would mean that Etro was incompetent. Lindzei's plan was the Cocoon plan, which took place during the events of 13. If Etro had sealed Lindzei into Yeul, it would have been after the creation of Barthandelus/Cocoon, and would have served no purpose.

If the door the the Invisible World had been opened, it's not like Pulse couldn't have woken Bhuni up.

I'm almost certain Light will turn on Bhunivelze. Bhunivelze doesn't strike me as the benevolent type. >_> I'm just not sure what woke Bhunivelze up? Was it the flood of chaos? The mythos said that he put himself into crystal sleep until the unseen world could be found. Is it Luxerion?

Same here, I don't think they'll make Bhuni the good guy since his arrival has been building up for the past 2 games (despite how subtle it may have been). I believe Bhuni will wake up at the end of the thirteen days, so we're not sure how he'll be awoken.

But there is Snow, a l'Cie and the whole fifth ark and heavenly vault thing. So it may be Snow who awakens him. The only problem I see with that is, Snow has a pulse brand. And it's Lindzei's job to wake Bhuni up. But it's no biggie if Pulse wakes Bhuni up tbh. They're on the same side anyway.
