I don't get all gooey over the English accents like most people do. The superior writing in XII is what made the voice acting great. Rufus' VA was great even without the greatest writing. The smugness and deception in his voice captured his character perfectly. Gabranth sounded like a typical bad guy with an English accent (which isn't bad but that's what he sounded like) and Balthier sounded like a cocky Englishman. Neither were bad, but it wasn't exactly the greatest.
