Unrelated question: Do people like Dante's VA? My friend said he was very skilled, but when I listened to some clips (it was either the first or third game) I felt a notable lack if emotional depth in his performance. He sounded like he'd rather kill himself with a rusty nail than read another line.

Related statement: Larsa > Fran > Shantotto > the rest.

DMC 1 Dante was rather boring and not very talented.

DMC3 Dante was a cocky badass mocking EVERYONE around him. He was awesome when he was mocking Cerberus and Beowulf.

Dante's VA doesn't display a wide range of emotions. That doesn't make him bad to me, because the cocky and arrogant attitude he displays fits well with his voice for the most part.

I love all of those VA's you listed as well. Especially Shantotto.

So, with the exception of 1 person we all agree XII's dubbing and should return. SE needs to know this.

Again, a person who called AC Rufus great, when he sounds panifully generic.

Who said I didn't agree that XII's dubbing was great? I like a few other characters dubs better.

English accents do not make a voice non generic. Sounds like a fairly generic English accent to me.

They don't sound like typical English accents to me.

For once - I won't do this again - I agree with you.

The characters had a very European-Mediterranean accent. Not English.

Sort of like Tom Hardy's Bane. Hell, a large number of them sounded like British-Indians.

This Syra fool doesn't know what he's talking about.

They sounded like Tom Hardy's Bane? Hahaha you're joking? I'm not even mad that you called me a fool after that. That's a good joke.

Also, Rufus isn't an emotional character. He never cared about anything or anyone. Do you honestly expect him to have the range of characters like Zack?

Balthier sounds similar to Jason Statham to me. Jason Statham is English is he not?
