So I don't have to play FFXIII-2 to understand? When I said I'm way behind, I just meant that I'm not up to date. I'm still in the March 2010 time period of the FFXIII series.

Yes it is the end of the "Lightning Saga." as Square put it. Although you can count on Lightning being a guest character in many games to come.
