dils-d posted...- Action RPG, or at least Action-oriented gameplay (like LR).
- No battle transitions.
- HARD.
- Full control over all characters, regardless of how many they are.
- Mobility of a platforming game. Seriously, I am wicked disappointed in how XIII(-2) handled that stuff.
- Some sort of long endgame activity. Be that Monster breeding or whatever, I want something to do after the boss is dead.
- Summons that act like Guest characters once summoned. That is, exactly like in XIII except for the allies vanishing thing.
- Non-cheesy dialogue. Is that so hard?
- Orchestrated music. Look at Skyward Sword. Hot damn.
- Sidequests unlike those in XIII(-2). Please.
- They seem to have been leaning more and more that way since X-2 or so, so no worries there, amirite?
- Transitions don't bother me too much unless they're accompanied by huge loading times.
- I don't think I've ever had a problem with games being really easy. I've often wondered why that is. Revenge complex? Closet sadist? Too easily frustrated? Bah! Don't know, don't care
POUND POUND POUND SMASH!- This can be a really good thing, or it can lead to a horribly convoluted control scheme. But some seem to like it like that, so.....
- I'm seeing several possible ways to interpret this statement. Care to clarify?
- Most of the recent FFs have had something like that....well, except for the "after boss death" thingy.
- Eh. They're cute and all, but I could live without 'em. Whatever works for ya...
- I'm increasingly of the belief that will I likely never see a JRPG that doesn't have cheesy dialogue. I'm thinking that whatever we see as cheesy, they probably see it as being 1) high art, 2) highly erotic, or 3) both. This could change. I don't expect it to.
- Can either be really cool, or needlessly melodramatic. Sometimes simple works for me just as well.
- As long as it doesn't involve anything entirely luck based like that *&^%$# slot machine......
