Why has no RPG expanded on FFXII's Gambit System?

The only game I can think of is Dragon Age: Origins. Seriously, that was AI management at it's best.

12's gambit system was a zillion times better than Dragon Age's.

Because for some dumb reason people didn't like it so they never tried it again.

Anyway, I think most people thought it was an extreme level of auto-mode. It would be a great system for AI allies, though.

I wanted FFXIII to have gambits. I can't play games with AI allies without wishing I had Gambits. Xenoblade is infuriating this way.

Gambits should've been only for the AI, though to be fair no one is forcing you to use them.

So you can eat a sandwich or do whatever else you want to while the game plays itself.

Options are never a bad thing.
