Why has no RPG expanded on FFXII's Gambit System?

It can be, if it takes away from the main intentions of the game. Haven't played the game, so I'm not sure if that's applicable here, but imagine getting a dozen of alternative paths to take in a game. You'll most likely be fed discontinuous information of the story, as the designer can't plan the game around which path you're going to take anymore. This wouldn't happen in a linear narrative.


Then it's just a badly designed game.
