I hope you can select Lightning's level in this game.

Like if you've maxed her, you could set her to one at any point, or even start the game at the max if you wanted.
Or however you'd manage such a thing with the Crystarium, if not as "levels".

I think that would have made FFXIII-2 way better. It would have been awesome replaying levels at level 1 but with max equipment and stuff.

EDIT: Think TWEWY or Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded if you've played them.

One thing I want every RPG to have is the option to lower the level of your characters. Give a little harmless freedom, just for kicks.

But to have the option of a full crystarium at the beginning of the game? That's probably best left for a classic New Game+ or something. Sure, I have a choice... but it's one of the few times in life where I don't want a choice. "Do you want to play the game how it's meant to be played, fair and square? Or breeze through it whenever Mr. Behemoth gives you a hard time?"

Nihilism was never my cup of tea.

What I meant by that was like, if you'd beaten the game and were at the max level, let you choose to keep it. Not allow you to be max level without earning it or anything.
