I would probably as it is my favorite numbered FF, but I would consider it I hear that they mess up the original story to retcon the compilation and change Cloud to be more like the real Cloud instead of the Zack wannabe that he was in the original game. It'd be funny to hear him say "Let's mosey" --- American beer is like making love in a canoe. It's ****ing close to water
I'd play it, but I'd prefer a remake of some of the FF's that are better then 7 first. IV, VI, or IX. Any of those really. Not that 7's a bad game (really, it's a great game), but does it ever get over hyped. --- UMvC 3 Team: Haggar/P.Wright/Spencer
I'd buy it and give it a shot. I've played ff7 in psone long long time ago and quite frankly i was really young to grasp evverything the game had to offer so it would be nice to try i again now that your older, more mature and have better comprehension. --- Sneer Plunge into the chasms of time. - Jihl Nabaat
It was mediocre-at-best in 1997, and my opinion of it has gone down steadily over the years following. So no, I wouldn't buy it, and I hope S-E never wastes their time making it unless it's done for a handheld.
"Greatest game in the FF series of the PS1 era" isn't really saying a whole lot either.

I agree, although I don't think IX needs a remake that much, desoite being my favorite FF game. The graphics are amazing, and everything works really well. The only reason I want a FF7 remake is because the graphics are so bad, and I want to see what it would look like with good graphics. --- Why do I come here again? This place is so cynical...
