XIII and XIII-2. Too much mechanical looking monsters and not enough organic monsters. Too many pallette swaps as well. Boring designs and dull colors as well.

At least VII tried to get creative and colorful with their monsters.

That was the idea. Something more modern and machine-like. Even the Fal'Cie were like machines. Versus xiii will be similar.

Versus XIII is coming in 2014, GTA5 will be awesome, and PS4/Xbox 720 is coming in Dec. Lightning Return will be super awesome and I don't care what you think!

Actually, it won't. Nomura has said that he plans on incorporating more classic FF ideas, and that the summons might retain their more classic form(as in, "non-robot"). The monsters we've seen so far are pretty full organic. Wyverns look like classic fantasy winged dragons. Imps(Garchimacera) seen in the recent trailer(as in recent, a few years back) use the infamous FFV/FFVIII designs. The behemoth shown uses the classic behemoth design with the exception that it's wearing armor(because it's being used by the "invaders" as a war beast).

Just because FFXIII interprets the Fabula Nova Crystallis myth one way doesn't mean the other games will do the same. Type-0 is proof of that, and Versus will follow the same route. So far, "ultra robot futuristic creatures/world" is solely tacked on to FFXIII only. Not saying there won't be "robots" in the other games, but it's not going to be the cyber-organic nightmare that FFXIII's world is.
