Why did they stop using the traditional Black Mages?

i honestly dont know myself. then again this series doesnt need black mages. not the way its heading. what would be the use of a black mage when pratically everyone can cast black magic? could be fun enemies though.

I miss the job system... Back then, Final Fantasy made sense. (Well, to me at least)

XIV does have the traditional Black Mage look expect for the blue robe.
