Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII

So FF is considered a jrpg, however; you will notice that FFs usually don't have huge japanese themes. For instance, most jrpgs use japanese surnames even after localization.
Serah should call Lightning Onii-chan, but she doesn't. Then I don't recall the FF characters eating bento, ramen or curry.
Infact, the loli, ecchi things most jrpgs have are usually absent from FF. You might get a big boob char here or there but they aren't really "sexualized" beyond their looks while in other jrpgs, said character would come on to the main character or be placed in compromising situations to have red cheeks and moaning sounds or upskirt shots.
Sure, Vanille makes moaning sounds but I don't think they were actually meant to be moaning sounds.
Then the visuals are far away from anime style that pretty much every other jrpg conforms too.

FF is absolutely not western in any way, it's just that you have a very distorted concept of what gives a game a "japanese-feel".

FF is very anime-like (and THAT alone is enough to make FF clearly NOT even close to a western game), and in case you don't know (actually from what you say is evident that you don't know) there are TONS of animes (or mangas) that don't have all those characteristics that you mentioned.
Those characteristic are NOT the only aspects that give a game a "japanese-feel", those are just some of the most common generalizations,lol.
