Do you mind the inevitably cheesy dialogue?

From what little we've seen so far the lines are just as bad as they were in XIII-2, and seeing as they have most likely not hired new writers, will be released as such.

Personally I'm not having high hopes for this game storywise, but due to the game's focus on multiple replays it seems like one can just go ahead and skip most of the cutscenes regardless. The gameplay and environments are enough for me to get it.

You will be surprised that the story is one of the best atories to ever grace Final Fantasy

It's a JRPG. If cheesy dialogue was a problem, I wouldn't own any JRPGs.

I watch a lot of anime so I'm basically immune to cheesy dialog

Depends on how much it is. Every once in awhile characters in Nier say something cheesy. But imo its so out numbered by memorable lines that its hardly noticeable

Or sometimes a game is so cheesy that it doesn't even try to not be serious. But in cases like that as long it doesn't take itself too serious I can manage
I'll eat a sock if VersusXIII is actually a mind blowing game.

I stomached the entirety of Tales of Graces F

Translation: I mind it, yes, but I'll deal with it maybe just once.

I can deal with it but it really drags down the quality of the game.

More than anything, it was the dialogue that made me dislike FF13 and 13-2 so much. So yes, I definitely mind the cheesy dialogue.
It's not a JRPG until you kill a god.
