Will this game be better on the PS3 than on the Xbox 360?

No. It's the same. I'm a developer myself.

The 360 version will be halfassed like the last 2 games.

It wasn't halfassed. It was the superior version if you had an SD TV. Other than that they were just as good, except for the 360 not supporting 1080.

Pretty sure FFXIII was better on PS3 then the 360... The graphics were crisper, and plus it actually had one disc on PS3. 360 had like 3 I think. Its common knowledge that the 360 version of the game was dumbed down. They TRIED to make it as identical as possible, but ultimately the PS3 version was superior.

Superior in graphics, yeah, but I think most people wouldn't be so superficial to judge a game based on that. Also, I felt a bit nostalgic when I had to change the discs.

Both copies look exactly the same in my eyes, except the 360 version doesn't have hideous screen tearing when not using HDMI. The disc thing is irrelevant. Nobody cares about changing discs twice in a 40+ hour game.

Played both versions.

360's version had FPS drops during battle (Water) and some places (Nautilus&Orphan's Cradle).

Noticeable drops? No, and the PS3 had problems the 360 version didn't. Face it, it wasn't halfassed at all.

There can be only one.

My bet is on the PS3. If this game is so big that it's separated into several discs for the Xbox, things could get really annoying. What with this being an open world game and actually allowing backtracking and all.
