After losing DMC, Castlevania, Ninja Gaiden, Soul Calibur and Suikoden, we've also lost Final Fantasy over the last few years. What happened to all the good Japanese franchises? Jrpgs are finished and LR is the final nail in this coffin. --- Komo
You know what, I respect SE for always trying to mix up each entry in the final fantasy series. I'm so sick of series like new super Mario and call of duty and even grand theft auto always treading the same paths. SE games may not be the best but I enjoy them the most. Bravely default and now this game and also ffxiv are like the only games I play these days. --- "He's dead! I love him.... Oh he's breathing.... Loser!"
Was Final Fantasy dead when FFX-2 came out? Dirge of Cerberus: FFVII, a third person shooter sequel to FFVII? FFIV: The After Years? Revenant Wings: FFXII, a RTS sequel to FFXII? FFXIV bombed hardcore (was quite horrible), and they basically rebuilt it from the ground up with A Realm Reborn and a new director/team at the helm?
I don't know, what happened to FFXV? --- http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/character/3052701/ Trails in the Sky SC - http://i.imgur.com/qT369Jv.gif

Didn't know DMC, CastleVania, Ninja Gaiden, Soul Calibur, Suikoden, or Final Fantasy were dead. Last I checked, DMC Devil May Cry wasn't a bad game, CastleVania is getting a new 3d game, Ninja Gaiden has a game coming out this year, Soul Calibur has a free to play game coming to Japan this year, Suikoden had a game in 2012.
Clearly Final Fantasy is dead though. Because they didn't just release a game, and don't have another one coming at all.
