Jeez, that final boss, fourth form

Took me forever to stagger him! The fight took me like 33 minutes to beat, and the first three forms were like a minute each... I was honestly surprised I played the battle out the whole way through, I thought it was impossible to stagger him, until I finally saw a tiny window of red like 20 minutes in, which would disappear when he would attack. I'm not sure if anyone else did this, but I finally staggered him with just beat down+jump and heavy slash. I had element for my magic attack, but that seemed to be going nowhere with staggering. I didn't have Caius's weapon equipped either.

I'm glad I stuck through with the battle though, and beat him on the first try. I hate looking up strategies to beat a final boss, which I was gonna do after the first try.

You know you can over clock as soon as you see the red waves to basically guarantee staggers. After that he goes down surprisingly fast!

You can't. Remember, physical attacks are mainly for stagger maintenance (how high the waves crest) whereas aeora is for stagger building (how quickly the waves oscillate/their color). It needs to be somewhere close to 2/1 ratio of magic to attack, meaning for every 2 to 3 magics throw in an attack. And yes, overclock does help.

Yeah, I remember getting to an almost stagger, than he attacks, and back to square one, I didn't really have a good stagger technique down; was trying to beat the final form, off and on, for four months, then I changed all my garbs, weapons, shields, items and moves, to match those in a FAQ on here, well I changed to them if I had them, although I did use Caius' sword, anything, that helped with staggering!

With the changes, staggering the fourth form was pretty easy, and I kept switching between Garb 1 - Thundara, Garb 2 - Aerora, Garb 3 - Fira, finger on the same button, until the deed was done! I did however replace a move for an extra "guard", as the FAQ only had one guard between the three garbs, and I had been using two through out the game!
