Guys , is the longevity more than Monster Hunter TRI? I just played 3rd for PSP and I played it for 300 hours , I saw that someone have 300 hours aswell on tri. I saw on kotaku , I think , that this game is a BIG BIG BIG expansion of tri , does that mean that it will be longer than tri ? If yes , how much so ??

Monster Hunter Tri had 18 Large Monsters.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate has 51.

Monster Hunter Tri has low rank and high rank.
Monster Hunter Tri has low rank, high rank, and G rank. With all new armors and stronger weapons suited for G rank.

It's definitely got more stuff, and will definitely keep you entertained for longer.

It won't. Don't forget that this exact game has been released in Japan for over a year. Yes, it was the 3DS version, but it's the same game. It HAS to be the same game or else cross-play wouldn't work. And since no DLC (aside from extra quests with harder monsters) was released for it in Japan, we won't get any DLC here either.

I put around 1000 hours into tri and couldn't make everything.. I didn't go out and try to make everything but you would think after 1k hours there wouldn't be much left to craft.

Event Quests pretty much take the spot of DLC.

This game is a huge expansion over Tri, however it is a small expansion over 3rd. It has two new monsters, about 5 or so new subspecies, and G rank quests (which include new equipment designs, which for me is a huge bonus).

It also removed Amatsu, tigrex + subspecies, Akantor, and Ukanlos. Aside from them it has all of 3rd's monsters (and a jinouga/zinogre subspecies).

Personally, even after playing MHP3, this game is still completely worth it.
