We call deadly monsters cute for the same reason real people call deadly animals (like lions, monkeys, wolves, etc.) cute.

And only a handful of Pokemon are genuinely cute.


I've never heard an actual man call any animal cute...

But seriously though, the closest thing to furry-versions of the monsters would be the hunters themselves wearing armour crafted from them.

And for everything else, there's cosplay. Some good cosplay for MH, non-furry of course, cause that's creepy.
