lol Im so glad I waited instead of buying a Wii U just for this game...

Since 3 days before this game released ive been contemplating about purchasing a Wii U just for this game. I decided to just wait it out a month or so and see how the game fares. I kept trying to justify to myself how much it would be worth my money considering I could easily put hundreds of hours into it....I actually played Tri on the Wii and clocked in at about 850 hrs. After that i just kinda gave up since I achieved all my goals in-game as far as acquiring certain equipment. This was an expanded HD version of Tri so what could go wrong right?

1. Disconnects. Check other forums and you get a plethora of people complaining about constant disconnects. Im about to shell out hundreds of dollars and now Im going to be greeted with grief? No thanks.

2.People online are apparently a*******. Going to kick me out because Im still wearing a fully upgraded Hunter Set? People constantly judging others by what equipment they have on instead of actual skill? lol "you're using X weapon and since I think that weapon sucks you must suck too!" Not only that but there arent really a lot of people playing right now from what i hear.

3.SLIME. LOL Kelbi Bow alone DESTROYS any endgame potential. I never thought there would be anything that would ruin the game for people (caused by the game itself i.e. not hardware issues or how players act..). Forget farming to this weapon or that weapon. WHy go through all that trouble when you can just bust out a Kelbi Bow?? I can only imagine how it feels when you finally got this...lets say awesome Hammer youve been farming for hours upon hours for only to constantly enter G-Rank rooms with everybody using Kelbi Bows. LOL its inevitable. Before you know it there will be at least 2 people PER game using a Kelbi Bow and soon after that rooms with all Kelbi Bow users will be the norm.

Im so glad I waited. I wouldve gotten bored of this game sooner than later just off of those 3 issues alone let alone other issues.

Happy Hunting!

1. I've had 2 disconnects, and both were due to hosts. This is not as prevalent as you think.

2. I have never seen anyone kicked, regardless of gear. I am not at G Rank yet, but I've played with quite a few different groups. Lobbies are always packed, and it hasn't taken me more than a few minutes to find a room for whatever I'm after.

3. Find a group to play with regularly; shouldn't be an issue as we are on a forum. I don't care for Slime, and did not like the bow, and I highly doubt I'm the only one.

On a side note, I did buy a Wii U for this, and I haven't regretted the purchase once.

not everyone has disconnects, I have had no issues with people online (both probably cause I host rooms)...slime is only overpowered if many people in the group use it, the bow is an exception...however you are not required to use it at all. If you are unable to resist the temptation of using slime weapons then you need to work on your self control.

I already have over 100 hours in and still going just as strong as when I started, so well worth all the money I spent (a wii u, the wii u game, 2 3ds xls and 3 3ds games)

I've not had one disconnect in probably 70 hours of online. The important thing to recognize about this is that ONLY the people having the problems are going to be vocal about it, which may make the problem seem bigger than it is.

The only online issue, in fact, is the same one tri had, with mics spitting out garbage noise occasionally. but remaking the room fixes this.

Find friends that don't want to slime either. Me and my friends haven't been using slime much, you'll find like-minded people if you look.

People are ALWAYS dicks. Was the same in tri. Make the room yourself if you're so terrified of being kicked.

You must be new to the internet. I'll be your tour guide.

See, here on GameFaqs, we have these people who post to make others angry. They are called trolls. TC here saw a perfect opportunity to rile up people here and show negativity towards MH3U and knew he would get responses. Troll=successful, as you can see.

Also, if you visit Google and type "porn" in the search bar, you may need carpal tunnel surgery soon after. Just a bit of warning. Good luck and be safe.

Hope this helped

But the PS4 has GDDR5 RAM. That's 2 more than DDR3! I bet PCs will take at least 5 years to catch up to this beast.

Reassurance. Its like, the person is trying their best to convince theirself that they made the right decision with their gaming platform of choice and therefore give theirself peace of mind, but deep down inside they want to play the game of the board they is posting on extremely bad, but due to money reasons (or the person is not old enough to get a job and must constantly depend on either christmas or their birthday to get what they want...reassurance in general is more common among kids/teenagers, or in some sad cases adults) they can not got their way =(

^uncalled for..

Anyway, I understand the disconnect issue may vary but honestly its a pretty damn widespread issue for NA and EU MHU3 players as whole. Granted it wont be an issue for EVERYBODY, but ALOT of people are having this issue...consider yourself fortunate if you have had only a few disconnects.

Reassurance? Yes. I posted this clearly for reassurance. Its pretty damn obvious. Im just sharing my joy of having saved roughly $400 just to play this game. And hopefully others that were in the same boat as me can come across this topic and learn from it.

Okay...Granted I bought the game..would I have had fun? Yes, definitely. Would it have lasted? Nope. Would it have been worth roughly $400 of 'fun'? Hell f****** no.
