So there are people that still think MH4 won't be localized?

Tri came out 6 months later in English.
3U came out 4 months later in English.
But magically, MH4 will not be localized.

Assuming MH4 comes out Summer of 2013 (which I believe is the current goal) I would not be surprised to have MH4 in English come holiday 2013.

I wish Japanese licensing wasn't so restrictive. Because I'd be ok with downloading a digital copy of the Japanese version.

I expect we will get MH4 but probably not until next spring if they miss this fall season. MH has always come out in spring or fall.

You forget that Monster Hunter Frontier and Portable 3rd (HD) are both Monster Hunter games that were not localized between Tri's release and 3U. All of which were not released due to worries of not being profitable outside of Japan.

Mh3u came out in dec 2011.

But to your point, yes we still got it a few months after it went to a console. But 1 yr and 4 months later on 3ds.

MH3G (Japanese version of 3U) came out in 2011. How did it come out only 4 months later in the west?
I personally am unsure on the localization of MH4. I think because it's solely on the 3DS, that'll help keep costs low (although extra development costs are just localization and physical media so I guess it doesn't matter the platform) and we may get a shot. At the same time, I am not keeping my hopes up, well because, it's Monster Hunter.

Portable 3rd didn't come out at all. Neither did Portable 3rd HD Ver.

3U is a port of 3G which came out in 2011.

wat

Monster Hunter Frontier came out in 2006. If it was coming, it'd have come by now. MHP3 didn't come because the PSP was already basically dead in America.

3U came out in 2011 in Nippon.

Going by the time the hd port came out is silly Felix.

That said we'll get a Gen 4 game at some point. Whether its MH4 or a later Gen 4 came is what we don't know.
