Playing with 4 people is such overkill

I've recently hit G rank and mostly play by myself because my internet is a b****. Anyway, I've soloed most of the content with the weapons and armor you're expected to have.

That being said, I usually clear mission in under 30 minutes the first time around and work up to killing monster in under 20.

Whenever I play online with a group of people the game just loses it's interest tbh. It goes from hunting a challenging monster to ganging up on the poor thing and stagger it until it dies. If people bother to bring along items to speed up the kill like traps or flashbombs then it's just sad.

It's honestly pathetic how there's no scaling done for the game.

Because the fact that some of these Grank monsters and can still make a group cart 3 times isn't good enough
I believe in everyone's self-worth, I love watching people come into their own, so I can do so as well. :D GJ

Yeah. Wait til you get to 8* quests. A lot of those will be really fun for you.

if there were scaling, why would you bother hunting with other people? the idea of teaming up to make a fight easier just kinda makes sense.

Scaling was done for village/guild with guild quests taking into account multiple players (not how many players are in a quest).What you should be complaining about is why they're scaled so low.
The answer to that is the game was originally a 3ds game and the developers wanted the Japanese (their target audience) to be able to finish a quest during the commute to/from work ordering their lunch break.

Haven't reached him yet but he'll fall like all the others before him. Honestly, I can't respect anyone who can't solo a particular monster without using overpowered gear for that particular monster.

Playing with a group is great for farming materials but it's just not fun. I remember sleep bombing Alatreon in Tri in little more than 5 minutes and it felt cheap as hell.

There's more to teamwork than just damage. Even by scaling the health, it would be advantageous for people to hunt in groups of 4 for traps, flash bombs, status effects, healing each other, stuns, etc.

By not scaling you can just wail on a monster and stagger-lock it until death.

The game was designed for the social experience and use in Japan primarily where you don't have time for 20 + minute monster battles all the time.

I agree though that 4 people is overkill but to combat that they gave many of the monsters strong AoE's so they can triple carts a team in one swoop.
