Well I played the Tri demo but I had no clue what was going on, but I think I'm gonna pick this game up tomorrow, I saw Projared's beginner's guide so I now have a clue. One question though, does this game have a story or is it just a game where people can just go on missions together?

It has a deep story with multiple outcomes. It's like a Mass Effect game with swords and monsters.

It depends. Did you like Darksiders 2's combat system? If so, probably not. This game actually has one.
