Vulcannon+

Alright i'm still in the "thinking about it phase" of getting a Wii U just for this game (ugh just typing that makes my wallet cringe) and I was wondering how viable it would be to take the Vulcannon+ into G rank? I know its probably like the worst idea ever but I really miss it from Tri and past that upgrade point it doesn't retain that name.

It seems like adren will be a given but does anyone have any other ideas on maxing the damage output on this badboy? What talisman pool to go with? Should I use its limit breaker (I have no idea what this does)? Any skill suggestion would be great or even an armor set but I don't think I can use those armor site links on the ps3 browser.

Will soloing be a complete pain on some of the later monsters, like gold and sliver, hungery jho, etc? And will I just get insta kicked for walking into a room with it equiped saying things like "Vulcannon prepare for battle!"?

Vulcannon is now Uragaan's weapon. You can use siege mode (sit there, shoot continuously with a 20 shot clip) ice and fire. It's also a decently high raw HBG and maxes out earlier than most. It has pretty good normal 2 and 3 clips, so you can even use it as a pretty good normal gun.
It's probably one of the best HBG for early G-rank, but is outclassed by end game weapons. Not by that much, though. It's main disadvantage is the high deviation. If you can deal with it then have fun shooting with gigantic revolver.

Yeah I knew it was ura's weapon, but the first two guns in the tree are called Vulcannon(+) right? That's good that it retains high raw damage, I heard seige mode can work out well with a shield (and probably adren as well).

So deviation is my main concern when making a set for it, I hate not shooting straight. Yeah that was the main draw but i'll alway like tri's design for it. It doesn't look bad now its just different.

I could be wrong, but doesnt the Vulcannon look completely different from Tri?

I remember it looking pretty lame and different in MH3U. Could be wrong though.

Actually if you add the power barrel instead of the shield the MH3U vulcannon looks exactly the same as tri's

Sir, you made my day. Totally going to craft it soon, maybe together with Uragaan armor because that combo looks really bad-ass.

Pretty much all guns in MH3U will look exactly like their tri counterpart if you add a powerbarrel.
The only exception would be aquamatic but the ian line has the same model as the tri gun.

One of the reasons why I never use a shield is because the guns look so weird with such a short barrel. That and I have 1337 skillzzzzz and stuff.

Yeah that makes me more excited to try it out. I'll probably need the power barrel anyways since its just gonna be like the second weapon in the tree.

Just noticed the Vulcannon will just not show up in my weapon list at the Blacksmith.

I've pretty much beaten Online all the way through to Miralis and Alatreon etc., did i miss some sort of quest somewhere which opens up the possibility to craft it?
