Why do bowgunners give me flak for using a bow online...

Because a group of 4 gunners can do things like this.

Bows simply cannot do this. Fact is, a group of 4 heavy bow gunners for the most part pump out the highest dps for a group in the game. A good group can constantly stagger, paralyze, trap, and sleep a monster until it dies.

Some people want to see how fast they can do a mission or the room is for farming as efficiently as possible. That is why you get booted out of gunner only rooms.

Ignore them.

^This.

Honestly, anyone that acts like that (IE, an elitist douchebag) isn't worth fretting over.

^Exactly this reason. Four Willuminators can drop abyssal lagi in under a minute without having to use the wall glitch. Four eclipse gambit pierce set users can do it in three. Four decent bow users typically do it in twelve minutes. Same logic applies for dire miralis and other speed run monsters. The players are trying to farm a part with an absurdly low drop rate. When I host abyssal lagi rooms, I plainly label the room "DragonS". If you can't infer what that means, auto boot. You apparently aren't yet very familiar with the game.

If I have a single hour to spare on a Saturday, I'd rather get in ten speed runs for part farming than one successful run and one failure from some dumb ass triple carting.
