ks-pharcydePosted 1/19/2013 3:10:23 PM | Sooo,
I can only host for four people in a game,, lol whats the point? Does the host lag?
In Blops2 I can't always connect to friends in games due to my nat... think thats the same here? Yesterday tried doing the port/ dmz thing but not sure it worked,, at least my blops nat showed as moderate when earlier had been strict (but its fluxs between that and open all the time so who knows)
I've tried game modes that people are posting on miiverse and not connecting,, either they are full, empty now, or its a connection issue maybe.
Anyways with the lack of connection info online there may not be an answer to my question.. just thought I'd put this out here. --- NNID: pharcyde |
blackshoelacePosted 1/19/2013 3:57:55 PM (edited) | Both of us, my friend. I think the bandwidth only allows x amount of people so that we won't host lag. --- GoldenEye 007: [DS]Renfreak @ 2641-0130-7739 |
NsacPosted 1/19/2013 4:12:12 PM | Yeah I think it bandwidth thing catfish got a new modem and upgraded Internet now he can hold more when he host. |
catfishunterPosted 1/19/2013 4:46:44 PM | more bandwidth will let you host more people but you should still be able to connect to the games you want. i did before i upgraded. there arent enough games going on not to find the people you want to play with. what drives me wild is when there are 3 people hosting different games in the same mode sitting all by themselves and i keep going to one of there games instead of the one i want. once you hook up with someone it wants to keep taking you back to that game. i've tried through clan tag to get them to quit there games so everyone can play but no. they must be in la la land from staring at a dead screen all day trying to get a game. nobody seems to get it. One guy even threw my old tag Fa-Q back at me. That was pretty funny but for future reference to everyone. if you see someone going in and out of your game chances are they are trying to find a different one. get out and come back and you might join a game instead of creating one. could you imagine if there were as many people playing this as GE. We would never see each other.I hope clan color does something. |
coreyerbPosted 1/19/2013 5:48:06 PM | Connectivity is separate from the bandwidth limitation, unfortunately. Port forwarding/DMZ is the way to ensure you can connect to everyone, but I have the same doubts whether it fixed it - moved from strict to moderate on BO2 but from trying to join a Heroes lobby I know someone was hosting and was not full, it would keep starting a new lobby so there still are hosts I can't connect to.
Bandwidth only affects how many you can host for, but your NAT type will determine whether you can connect to all hosts, or just some. I haven't seen a fool-proof way to open your NAT on the Wii U, and sometimes it's your ISP's settings that won't allow you to get an open NAT no matter if you DMZ/static IP. If you really feel like calling them, you can ask if they can help you achieve open connectivity for gaming purposes.
I don't mind only being able to host 8 since that seems like the perfect number for TC. 12 in TC just ends up being laggy and ends quickly, worse for XP. --- NNID: LoeliaPonsonby / [56] iS*LoPo - http://ironsightge.webs.com |
