Yes, I do prefer the Wiimote. The Metroid Prime games are proof that - when implemented right - a wand is the best FPS controller out there. Even over keyboard/mouse. And before any of you PC users scoff at the supposed "console peasant making foolish claims," I've even put my money where my mouth is here and bought a Razer Hydra for my PC to replace my KB/M setup. Because @#$! the mouse. It's a stupid lump of plastic you drag across the desk like a spaz with no actual correspondence to actually aiming at something. I purposely dropped a hundred bucks on a wand controller for my PC to replace that archaic thing.

And dual analog is just pathetic for shooters because not only is it also non-correspondent to actually aiming, but a stick for aiming is really small and imprecise and all the movement's in your thumb - one body part. There's no way to compensate for subconscious, unintended movements like you can with your wrist, hand, and arm working in tandem on a wand or even a mouse.

I know you've played a lot of Conduit 2, so let me tell you that HVS's motion control scheme is quite sensitive to minute movements. Treyarch's isn't. It's a bit sticky. In my opinion, it's not so sticky that it's difficult to make small adjustments, but just enough so that every quiver of your wrist doesn't move the reticle.

I have you all beat with my pen tablet... It works like a mouse, except you can aim faster and more precisely.

Is it similar to the DS FPS control scheme?

Not sure what a DS FPS control scheme is...... If you've ever seen a Wacom pen tablet, typically used for graphic art... That's what it is..
