Can you guys help me with head set ordering?

I'm trying to decide what would be the best option for me given i only have a budget of 20$ to blow on one and not quite sure which one would work with the wii u game pad for chatting. I'd appreciate a link to one you guys know works on amazon within that price range. Thanks in advance.

The cheapest one you can get is by Rocket Fish. But you get what you pay for.

NLa turtle beach is pretty good though, and you can get it for 35 bucks or less at sites like Amazon. Good quality, and Its pretty sensitive to picking up sound in your environment, and you shouldn't get echoes from other players.

I'd save your money—you don't want to buy a crummy headset. In the meantime, you can use any headphones/earbuds with an in-line mic. I wouldn't pull the trigger until you have at least $50, personally.

The Headbanger was really good quality for 20 bucks, and it lasted me for a year, and now its sitting there collecting dust because the WiiU doesn't support it. So yes there is cheap headsets that are good quality. Just trying to prove a point :D

Does it have a separate jack for the mic? If so, it won't work. If not... umm, it should work. I think. I use my iPhone earbuds and they work like a charm.

More precisely, it has to have a single 3.5 mm 4-pole plug. If it has two 3.5 mm 3-pole plugs, then you can get an inexpensive adapter (some Radio Shacks have them) that will adapt those two plugs into a single 3.5 mm 4-pole plug.

If it has a single 3-pole plug, then . . . I'm not sure how it would have separated the mic information from the earphone information, anyways.
