Best sorcerer build....

I recently made my pawn a sorcerer and I was wondering on what you think the best build is. Skills. Augments. Inclinations. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Before anything else, make sure you have a wyrmking's ring in your inventory for the casting speed increase. If you need one, let us know your PSN and someone can gift you one.

Here is my current setup, which I am generally happy with:

Grand Ingle
Grand Seism
Grand Gicel

High Levin
High Bolide
High Maelstrom

Scather/Challenger

Acuity
Articulacy
Awareness
Conservation
Emphasis
Gravitas

Once I find a ring that gives me Grand Bolide, I'll probably change my skills around a bit, but this works for now.

I have holy pact on myself for Daimon/Death farming, but there's little point on having it again on my sorcerer pawn. Buffing is really a job for mages anyway. The only reason I have it on myself is on the off chance that I'll either be with a mage that doesn't have it, or that they will be eaten during those boss battles when I need the buffs.

For a pawn what is optimal if it's going to always be sorcy?

Mage 1-10 and 11 onwards sorcy?

Or do I need to put in some ranger for stamina and ass for strength?

Sorcerers are surprisingly good at not running out of stamina even if they leveled as nothing else. And good luck leveling your pawn as an Assassin.

As far as the "best" sorcerer build is concerned, it varies. Some like running them as more offensive mages. I like the tactical nuke sorcerers, it's what I have on my own pawn. I run High Bolide, Maelstrom, Gicel, Fulmination, Miasma. (also works well for mirrored spell approaches)

Augments, Articulacy is the big one.

Inclinations, I vastly prefer Utilitarian/Challenger/Mitigator to anything else. Works very well, pawn opts for the big spells often.

That's ideal, but it's not absolutely required.

utilitarian/scather

ingle
frigor
levin

comestion
voidspell
torpor

acuity
attunement
articulacy
inflection
bastion
magnitude

casts on sight from a distance yet aggressively. rarely canceling spells. keeps distance from enemies evading well. speed caster no skill rings. all magick boosting gear.

By the time you get to endgame, you'll have 100% petrification resist, so you won't need voidspell. That frees up another slot for something else.

all magick boost gear not much defense on gear. its better to have voidspell for all who summon my pawn and herself. shes a speed caster no big spells.
