Pawn Death!

I'm just starting on Dark Arisen, played and finished DD back when it was released so maybe I'm just forgetting something, but wasn't there the opportunity to revive a fallen pawn? One of my mages has died and vanished, twice while exploring the first chamber. Do I have to backtrack and rehire her?

Thanks.

You would go back to the Rift Stone and look up your Past Summons.

Yeah, I do that, but it's an annoyance. I'm more wondering why I don't have the opportunity to revive her. These are new enemies so I guess they have attacks I haven't seen before. Just wondering if I'm missing something obvious.

Yeah it can be annoying but once your support pawns vanish, then they are automatically sent back to the rift and that's the only way you can rehire them.

You won't be able to revive your pawns if they get hit by Death or taken by the brine. The final boss of Dark Arisen also uses an attack that will send them straight back to the rift.
