Final Item Sea prize

#1acucarPosted 10/6/2013 10:16:50 AM
For the ones who don't know, in Disgaea D2 you'll gain prizes by advancing through the floors (10 total floors you get an item, 30 awards you with another prize, etc)

I was really interested in finding out what the last prize was (3000 total floors).
I found out a few minutes ago and I'm terribly disappointed.

The prize was Emizel's weapon.

I've gotten a LOT of different unique items through floors ~500-2700 so why the hell did the game award me with an item that's obtainable through other means?

Damn you, NIS... I hate you! (no I don't)

Like I said before, it's the weapon that Emizel has when you recruit him.

More info about the weapon:
It's a Sword called Death Sickle which is always legendary.
Base stats:
150 SP
150 ATK
150 INT
It has a mystery innocent called "Killer" and its description is as follows: "Deathblow enemies under 25% SP".

Basically, you do a lot of work for a fairly useless weapon, with an unremarkable special innocent on it, and you can actually get the weapon far earlier than that through other, much easier methods.

hmm i see its a fun weapon
maybe the other means of getting it was put in by mistake

or mistakenly put a way to get it to easy

i mean i can see its uses but if you get it by easy means...
it does seem like it should be a lower prize

'Stealing' is the keyword. It opens easy paths early on.

Like, for example, when you meet the Archangel and get into a fight where him and another one are neutral units.
Use a thief's skill or a 'Hand' on his sword to get the best weapon for a long time (up to Xenolith?) unless you rush through Item World.
Same goes for Emizel. His Scythe or Death Sickle can be obtained by stealing it...

That aside, do you also get a Lollipop (Axe) as a reward?
Met them pirates 3 times already and stole 6 sweets (w/o any other Innocents on them).
Would be pretty disappointing to see them in the list when they are so frequent.

What?
The Archangel had a unique weapon too?
Can you tell me the weapon type and its name, please?

The "archangel" doesn't have a unique weapon. But the other nuetral NPC on that map has a rank31 sword. You can steal it and get it far earlier then normal.

This has been another (probably) uselessly informative post, by me. Booyah!
