This... DOES still play DVDs, right? And Blu-Ray?

Since the drive's obviously enhanced to read better disks, it may not use Blu-Ray disks anymore which were mandatory for all PS3 disks.

Oh, thank goodness.

Now, if someone were to, *ahem* "jailbreak" the PS4, could it be used to play BC, since it can read Blu-Ray discs and DVDs?

Probably not, since it has different hardware. I.E. No cell processor.

Could a cfw ps3 slims play ps2 games just because the ps3 recognized the disc as a ps2 format game?

It doesnt work like that. By that logic, you would be able to pop in Xbox and PS3 games into a PC and play them that way.

Plus, I dont think Ps4 will see any significant hacks. The days of Playstation systems being blown open like the PSP are over.
