Being "a generation ahead" doesn't mean it outperforms a gaming PC.

I disagree with everything the article says, and it does say it is better than the best of PC's.

That is not what the article said.

Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are "a generation ahead of the highest end PC on the market."

He says their architecture allows for better computing and graphics, and that said architecture is generations ahead.

Break that down.
Graphics and computing are generations ahead.

"Both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 have adopted electronics and an integrated systems-on-a -chip (soc) architecture that unleashes magnitudes more compute and graphics power than the current generation of consoles,"

"These architectures are a generation ahead of the highest end PC on the market"

So when you put it all together what do you get?

The Xbox One and PS4 architectures have more compute and graphics power that is generations ahead of consoles and the highest end PC on the market.

Jesus.

A generation ahead means nothing.
