Why do people say you can build the equivalent PC to PS4 for cheaper. The PS4 would be way more powerful than that PC because of it being a closed system. I mean if you were to make a PC now with the same parts as PS3 do you really think it could play the games out now lol.

I can't imagine anyone actually going out of their way to build a gaming PC with an AMD APU. If someone actually considers that option, they should buy the PlayStation.

A PC equivalent to a PS4 would still be a lot more expensive, and it wouldn't perform as well. A console will always outperform a comparative PC.

And most of the time when these PC gamers say they can build a PS4, they don't include things like case, monitor, keyboard and mouse, anti virus, windows, blu-ray player etc.

they were both always considerably superior to a PC with equal hardware, at a lower cost. which is what matters

Im not saying its better. Im saying that people compare it to mid range PC which is wrong.

No its actually a low end machine.

The cpu's are $89-$100 price range. Which is bottom barrel pc. It doesn't matter if the system is a closed platform or not. All of that is marketing strategy, so they can push their agenda and get ignorant people to buy the hardware.

For this generation both XO and PS4 are x86 architecture. Which is the exact same as PC. So don't be surprised if the performance gap widens even more in favor of PC. Since cross platforming won't take as much effort as it did before.
